From Germany with love…

From Germany with love

Who knew, who would have guessed that someone I’d never met could have an impact on my life.

So I launched my Pledge Music page about a week ago and within 2 hours I had 2 pledges – hooray!!

But what blew me away the most was the fact that the first pledge was from someone I don’t even know. I must admit it really encouraged me a lot and made me feel like that leap of faith I took to do this project was not in vain.

Any way the pledge came from a person in Germany wow! Hence the title of this blog.

You see sometimes in life, one small random act of kindness can make the difference to someone’s journey. Whether it be getting some shopping in for a neighbour, going for coffee with a friend who just needs to chat, visiting someone in hospital, helping raise funds for a Bore hole project in Africa, signing a petition about social injustice or just saying good morning to a passer by, it really can make a difference.

Ants are not big creatures but in the summer they store up food for the winter, each one has it’s part to play in ensuring the whole colony have enough to eat when they need it most. In the same way, you may not be able to take a year out and go on mission to some far away land, but you can still make a difference.

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ – (Matthew 25:40 NIV)

These are the words of Jesus, challenging us to look deeper, to treat others the way we would want to be treated. To show love, and care for those in need.

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ (Matthew 25:35, 36 NIV)

It doesn’t have to be a big gesture, it just needs to be a gesture.

The person from Germany didn’t know how they made me feel, nor did the 2nd pledge giver, but what they did encouraged me a lot.

I’m not trying to make you support what I’m doing with enticing words, if you wish to help that’s totally up to you ( I hope you will though :)). But what I’m learning has challenged me to make a difference, so that’s what I’m trying to do.

I believe whatever gift we have we should use it to get the message out there to people, to let them know that they are loved, cared for, and special to God. I’m hoping that Butterfly gets released and you get to hear the songs for yourself .

I have roughly 50 days left to raise what I need, will I make it? I don’t know, I hope I do, but what I know is this, these songs speak of my journey with God, my highs, my lows, and my love for the one who has journeyed with me.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

By pledging you will help not just me (a big thank you for that though) but the people in Nigeria and Ghana, and you can also bag yourself some fab rewards.

So if you’d like to get involved and help me reach my goal, then you can do so by doing the following;
